Hey guys! Today I took my third Accutane pill. I am on 40mg which is pretty shocking to me. I hear most people start out with 20mg but oh well, I guess my dermatologist is trying to blast it out of me, eh? ;)
I can't say that I have felt anything yet really but I did have a pretty bad headache the other day and I was wondering if that is what may have caused it. It sort of freaked me out but I found some relief in Bayer. I also think these headaches of mine might just be because I spend too much time on the computer. I think that may be the real reason and I know how to fix that problem. ::turns of monitor screen:: LOL!
I am not sure if I am imagining this but I don't think my face is producing as much sweat as before. Again, I don't know if just three pills of this would cause anything just yet but it does seem a little bit less oily. Awesome, then. :)
I did a bad thing today. I went outside and laid in the sun for a bit and I know that is a big no-no when it comes to taking any kind of acne medication because it makes your skin so sensitive to the sunlight. But I did anyway and my face got a little red. Learned my lesson, won't do that again. Other than that, I also noticed my lips are beginning to get a little chapped. Nothing a little gloss can't handle now, though. When it gets worse, I will switch to Carmex or Aquaphor.
Anyway, I guess that is all I have to report on now. I am still worried as hell about my hair falling out but I guess I will just have to wait and see with that one. It's funny, though - everytime I feel a pain or get an ache, I think it's because of the Accutane. I need to stop worrying!

Hey guys! I decided to start an online journal type diary about my journey with Accutane. I hope you all find it helpful. :)
First of all, my name is Celeste and I am 19 years old. I just want to say that I have never had seriously horrible acne. However, I do break out quite often and always have pimples. They are not as bad as most people's but they are bad enough to really make me hate my face. I've tried a lot of stuff and some of it really did work. But the second I stopped taking everything, my acne came back just like before. I have had skin problems since I was about 13 years old and I am just so tired of it that I decided to give Accutane a shot. I am pretty surprised my dermatologist put me on it because my skin really isn't horrible. But I am willing to try anything now to get my face in the clear!
My main concern with taking Accutane is hair loss. I recently just went through a really bad "head case" a while back. Bleach, dye, bleach, dye. My hair is breaking off very badly right now and is dry like no other so I am sure Accutane isn't going to be very nice to me. Hehe! For all you other Accutane users out there, you might already know that this drug dries you out terribly. Well, I wear contacts and I know soon that my eyes are going to probably irritate me.
But keep checking back here and watch my progress and I will let you know how it goes! I took my first pill today and I am so nervous! I just want everything to be ok and I don't want to have any horrible side effects. Stay tuned! ;)
